When Mal Tobias  was working on the UK Channel 4 production 'The Promise', the biggest TV drama made in Israel in over 10 years, he was asked by many English-speaking people in Israel why they were not put up for auditions. When Mal asked them if they had professional pictures, a showreel or with an agency, approx 80% said, 'No'. Mal told them that they had answered their own question!
